In short, some a$$hole finds some Open Source software, files a patent application that matches it, removes the original copyright information from the software, sells it as his own software, and sues the original developers for patent infringement. He also claims that copyright does not apply to Open Source software.
I was a little short on cash this year, but reading this article made me renew my EFF and EPIC memberships.
